Making a board from a blank - fully hand-shaped

My mate Pete Vanagas dropped this 'blank' off to me the other day to see if I could make him something out off it. It's a Burford 9'8 or something and he'd roughly cut out a 7'10 outline. Very Flintstones! There's a bit of Entombed and Metallica on too. I gave the Makita planer a service, after 20 years dormant in the tool box, and cranked her up!
